Microteaching is a technique which is aimed at preparing teacher trainees for the real classroom setting. In this teaching technique the lesson delivery time is reduced to about 5-8 minutes. The number of observers is also limited to 8-10 students.
Microteaching is especially used to train pre-service teachers systematically. It allows teacher-trainees to experiment and learn teaching skills like; Set Induction, Questioning, Stimulus Variation,Use of Teaching Aids,Explanation, Chalkboard, etc.
